Best Resumes

Having extensive experience reviewing resumes and evaluating peoples resume skills, I consider the best resumes to be chronological resumes. Resumes formatted with work experience from most recent to oldest allows an employer to quickly get a strong overview of a candidate and his or her resume skills without having to read through lengthy paragraphs. You have to remember that these employers will be reviewing hundreds of applicants, so any excuse you give them to ignore you will be taken.

Additionally, to make your resume amongst the best resumes, you need to look at it as more than just a list of your resume skills. Too many people try and cram too much onto their resume so that it becomes hard to digest and take in what's there. Focus on the aesthetics of your resume and it will become one of the best resumes in no time at all. Does your resume look good? Then you're already halfway there.

Finally, one of the most important steps in making one of the best resumes is to read over everything. Use strong action verbs when describing things you've done. Maintain consistency in the way you present your information and the way you delineate your lines. Too many people accidentally change formats halfway through their resumes and it quickly reduces their quality. Using these resume skills, it won't take long before yours is one of the best resumes.
